John Smith

John serves as Chief Executive Officer of MPC Kinetic, bringing 3 years of experience from MPC Group where John was also the Chief Executive Officer.

John has over 30 years’ experience in the resources, mining and oil & gas industries including being Chief Executive Officer of Silver Standard Resources, a Canadian precious metals mining company trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange and NASDAQ for five years. Prior to this role, John worked across various operational, strategic and M&A functions within BHP for 18 years.

John is a fellow of the Association of Cost Engineers and a Chartered Management Accountant.

John has a BA Business Studies and an MBA awarded with distinction from Aberdeen University.

Tony O'Sullivan 

Tony serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Construction Services for MPC Kinetic, bringing 7 years from MPC Group where Tony served as the Chief Operating Officer. As COO (Construction) Tony is responsible for ensuring the delivery of large scale construction projects across MPC Kinetic's operating segments.

Tony brings more than 23 years of experience in the delivery of large-scale resource sector pipelines and infrastructure assets including overseeing the largest coal seam gas gathering and transportation network in southern Queensland and large-scale water transportation and infrastructure developments for mining projects in Western Australia and northern Queensland.

Prior to joining MPC Group, Tony was Head of International Pipelines for J. Murphy and Sons working on a variety of large-scale gas transmission pipeline projects in the UK.

Tony is a Board Member, vice-President and a member of the Audit & Risk Committee of the Australian Pipeline and Gas Association (APGA).

Tony has a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying from Staffordshire University. 

Leigh Rigg 

Leigh is the Chief Operating Officer (Wells) for MPC Kinetic, having previously served as the MD & CEO of Kinetic Services Group since October 2013. As COO (Wells) Leigh is responsible for overall financial and operational performance of the Wells business unit.

Prior to joining Kinetic, Leigh spent 16 years with the world’s leading oilfield services company, Schlumberger, in a variety of roles including new technology development, human resources, operations and senior management.

Leigh has spent over 20 years in the oilfield services market in a range of different environments including West Africa, North Sea, Indonesia, Thailand, Paris and Australia.

He holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from The University of Melbourne.

Richard Howse 

Richard serves as the Chief Financial Officer of MPC Kinetic having previously been the Chief Financial Officer of MPC Group since 2011.

Richard has over 20 years of financial experience in the oil, gas and coal seam gas industries. Prior to joining MPC Group, Richard was Oil and Gas Leader and Tax Partner at Ernst & Young, Brisbane.

Before joining Ernst & Young, Richard held finance roles at BG Group, Shell, Goldman Sachs and Arthur Andersen in a variety of locations that include London, Aberdeen and Singapore. 

He is an Australian and UK Chartered Accountant, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a First Class Honours degree in Applied Mathematics. 

Lindi Deguara 

Lindi serves as the Company Secretary & Executive General Manager (Pre-Contracts & Risk) of MPC Kinetic.  She served as the EGM Pre-Contracts for MPC Group since May 2017, prior to which time she performed the equivalent of a General Counsel role at MPC Group for 18 months.  She served as the Company Secretary for MPC Group from early 2016.

Lindi has more than 12 years’ of commercial experience within the resources and infrastructure sectors in Australia and the Asia-Pacific. Prior to MPC Group Lindi worked for Golding Contractors, Connell Wagner (now Aurecon) and Ansaldo STS, providing commercial, legal and governance services to their Australian and international operations support corporate activity and projects from tendering through to delivery phase. 

Lindi is a Non-Executive Director at Golden West Apprenticeships Ltd and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Lindi is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and holds a Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Media Communications (Creative Industries) from the Queensland University of Technology.

Kieran Plasto

Kieran Plasto serves as the Executive General Manager (People) of MPC Kinetic, having held the same role at MPC Group since June 2017.

In his role he oversees all Human Resource, Safety and Training functions.

Kieran has over 30 years’ experience in corporate and operational leadership roles in both Human Resources and Safety. Prior to MPC Group, Kieran held a senior Human Resources Operational role with Aurizon, and has previously worked for a number of major mining companies including Anglo America, Xstrata and Vale.

Kieran is a qualified organisational psychologist having been awarded a Postgraduate Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of Queensland in 1987. He is also a graduate of Harvard Executive Education. He is a member of the Australian Psychological Association and the Australian Human Resource Institute.

Andrew Kazakoff

Executive General Manager | Corporate Development

Andrew serves as the Executive General Manager Corporate Development of MPC Kinetic and joined the group in November 2018.

He  has over 17 years of Investment Banking, Corporate Advisory and M&A experience having worked with several global investment banks, and more recently holding Business Development roles for Anglo American (Coal) and Energy Developments Ltd.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) / Bachelor of Commerce (Class 1 Honours) from the University of Queensland.
